The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, on behalf of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), will be accepting applications for the 2021 cohort of Jefferson Science Fellows (JSF).
The JSF program is open to tenured, or similarly ranked, faculty from U.S. institutions of higher learning who are U.S. citizens. Fellows spend one year on assignment at the U.S. Department of State or USAID serving as advisers on issues of foreign policy or international development. Assignments are tailored to the needs of the hosting office, while taking into account the Fellows’ interests and areas of expertise.
The JSF program is anticipating an opportunity for up to 15 new Fellows to be selected for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Additional details on the JSF program can be found on the website at http://www.nas.edu/jsf.
