Upcoming FLAS information sessions for Summer 2021 & AY 2021-2022

We will be hosting 4 information sessions about the Foreign Language & Area Studies (FLAS) awards for the study of less commonly taught languages at the UW-Madison for summer 2021 and academic year 2021-2022! Open to US citizens & permanent residents, FLAS awards support students – both undergraduate & graduate students – in acquiring foreign language & area studies competencies. We will discuss eligibility requirements, languages supported, the application & award process, and more. All four sessions will be online and accessible via https://go.wisc.edu/FLASInfoSession (you can log in 15 minutes prior to the event) and are scheduled for:

• Thursday, December 3, 2020 @ 3pm
• Wednesday, December 9, 2020 @ 5pm
• Tuesday, January 19, 2021 @ 2pm
• Monday, February 1, 2021 @ 4pm

No pre-registration required! Information about FLAS awards is available on the website – http://flas.wisc.edu – with additional details available on the FLAS FAQs page and from the FLAS coordinator of each awarding center.
